Photos of Lucy and Renee have been uploaded.   There are some very good ones, but I particularly love the last one of Renee and Lucy together.  Look at the loving expression on Renee's face.  It's so fraking cute.   The Roxy ones and those from the other guests will be coming soon (hopefully before the London con).

Last weekend we celebrated Leila's birthday with a special guest from XOC (Xena Online Community), Snikz (aka Nikki).  We had a great time watching our fave music vids, the latest Coffee-Talk, and munched on a good ol' Aussie BBQ, Birthday cake & chocolate fondue.  As you can see from the photos, we were joined by Lucy and Renee and I got a little excited.

We also had fun drawing on Natalie's cast, inking it forever with Xena's chakram and Gabrielle staff & sais.

After 8 and a half hours of Xena goodness (and it only felt like 5 mins!!!), we said our goodbyes, and gave our goodbye hugs, and parted ways.

Nikki went back to Sydney (we miss her already), Natalie moved to Sydney (it feels strange meeting up without her), and we find ourselves once again at Leila's, waiting for the SLOWEST pizza delivery guy to come and deliver yummy foods to keep us satisfied while we watch Xena!

So now I will leave you to peruse our latest photos, while we watch season 4, as it's been a while since any of us have seen Gabrielle in yellow...

I know, I know... I've been taking ages to update the site and post our wonderful pics from the 2008 con. But I'll get to it...  I promise !

As always, the Convention was a grand opening to the year!  We have blasted into 2008 with an amazing get-together of excited friends, flabbergasted new guests and beloved old-timers.  Creation managed to bring two new guests actors, directly from New Zealand, as well as some of the old ones loved by the fans.  I will go into more detail about each of them as I post the pics. 

As always, one of the highlights was the reunion of old friends and the meeting with new ones; getting to know people you've been chatting on the groups and putting faces to names is always a wonderful experience.  The Xenaverse, I can't seem to stop repeating myself, is a huge, awesome family, which keeps on growing, with the addition of new fans each year.  It helps, of course, that it has as its centre two fabulous, caring, down-to-earth human beings, who keep inspiring us to be better people and make a difference in this world...  This is something that has to be passed onto the new generation of fans coming into this amazing universe...  This year, while Lucy and Renee were on stage, we were proudly informed by our good friend Lara, from our sister group, the London Xena Meetup Group, that from the year the show started airing until today the Xenaverse has contributed around 12.2 million dollars to charity causes - add now U$ 25 thousand after the con.  Aren't we the coolest fans in the world?  

But I digress.

Back to the con, I've uploaded a few pics of friends and fans, while the ones from the guests are being re-touched (for red eyes and stuff, you know...).  I've also uploaded a wonderful montage made by Joolz, so that you can have a glimpse of some of our Roxy pics.  The montage can be found at the "home" link and at the "photos" link.  From there, click on the "2008 convention" for the fans' pics.

This past Sunday we had our Christmas... er... Solstice Meetup!  With RL (real life) getting in our way often, that was the first complete-group meetup since October, which is not to say that we haven't had two-members meetups now and then...   Solstice was celebrated accordingly with heaps of gifts exchanged and a very nice brunch.  We have also (albeit belatedly, alas!) come up with a card for MaryD, to celebrate Ausxip's 11th year.

A lot has been going on in the Xenaverse, with the approaching Official Xena con in Burbank and the recent news of a Convention to be held in London, accompanied by two Lucy shows!  We are happy for our European friends, who will finally be able to see Lucy up close and in one of her bedazzling shows and go to a Xena Con - two events they have been begging for, for a long time now...

First meetup after my holidays.  The girls came in as I was submitting two pics taken during the holidays for the "Xena movie sign contest" at the "2007 Xena Online Convention".  They had forgotten that the deadline for submitting entries is the 31st October, but got all excited about sending an entry in the Gang's name.  You already got a taste of their creativity on our "home" link.  Check the other pics and the two entries from my trip on the 2007 meetups link.

Another meetup and a special visit.  Our friend Ann, from Moline - USA, is in Oz for a three week visit.  Check out the meetup pics on the 2007 meetups link.  We had a barbecue and watched Renee's "Diamond and Guns" and Zoe Bell in Quentin Tarantino's movie "Death Proof".  " Diamonds and Guns" is a hoot, very funny, easy and agreeable to watch - and there's Renee, of course.  Enough said.  Death Proof is really bad.  The only good thing in it is Zoe and the fact that we get to see her a lot, as an actress, not as a stunt, I mean... she does a lot of stunt scenes, but as herself... oh well.. you have to watch it to see what I mean.  And we can see her face the whole time!  That's a bonus!!!  :) 

As of tomorrow I'll take some days off and travel around Australia with Ann, a dream trip for both of us. If we take cool pics, I'll post them for your perusal...
