The London con was an amazing event.  Unfortunately, our “Xena Family” was not complete, since only Joolz, Jackie and myself were able to attend.  Joolz was the lucky one to have the con happen in her backyard, so to speak.  Jackie and I had to travel a little longer and fly across land and ocean to get there.  But we did manage three nice family pics with Paris, Adrienne and Brittney!  Check them out!

For me, this con was particularly special. 

I got to see some old friends, make new cool ones, meet Lúcia Nóbrega, the amazingly talented artist that gave us “Little Xena & Little Gabby” and the beautiful illustrations of the “Subtext Virtual Season”...

And last but not least, I got to meet Lucy in person!!! 

That'd be a wonderful fact all by itself, of course.  But the way it happened was too special, and left me almost in tears.  It was a gift!  And what a gift, man!!!  It was given to me as a farewell present by my Canberra Xena Gang mates.  A surprise gift!  I didn't know I was going until the day itself!!!

Knowing that I would have to leave Canberra by mid 2008, the girls decided to surprise me and, without  my knowledge, they bid for one of the meet and greet tickets, and had Joolz and Jackie hand me the gift on that Saturday, a few hours before the show!  I almost fainted!  I was so gob smacked that I was totally speechless.   Is this Xenite love, or what??? 

And oh... I have to add that, when I told Lucy my name, she was like (add Lucy's goofy face here) 'Oh, oh... I know what I'm gonna sing to you...'  And then she started singing Eric Clapton's Layla song -'Leeeeeeeeilaaaaaaaaaaa.... got me on my knees, Leilaaa...'  (I got a personalized song!!!) oh man...  That's what's going on in the pic!  I'm surprised I did not drop down on my knees myself right then...  Geesh...

Ok... taking a deep breath here, so that I can show you some more friends' pics!   What a weekend!!!!!
